After fighting Hijikata Toshizo, who was once his senior in sword skills, Okita attained the secret technique of "heart," "skill" and "body" and awoken as the true form of "Okita Soji." However, his awakening also became a double-edged sword that only worsened his illness, limiting him to only take part in brief fights that are even shorter in duration. But even so, he had not given up fighting. | A spirit transformed from the Captain of the 1st unit of Shinsengumi's - which was a faction of swordsmen who protected Kyoto during the Bakumatsu Era. After his infusion with the soul of Okita Soji, he awakened the true power that laid dormant in his body and attained the level of "God of Sword." With his newly awakened power of "Temporal Jump," he can circumvent the process of "cutting" and directly go to the result of "slashing his opponent." The speed of his sword flash is beyond imagination. Not only that, his movements have also become as smooth and seamless as the flow of water; he can easily parry any attacks made against him and unless one has attained the state of seeing with his/her mind's eye, his/her attack wouldn't even be able to find its target. Nevertheless, his infusion also exacerbated his illness and now he can only fight at his full power for no longer than 3 minutes. But even so, it is said that there are less than five individuals in this world who can last for longer than a minute in a fight against him...
