Hi, nice to meet you. I am the new bureaucrat of Chinese Otogi wikia. Since the remining bureaucrats did not update the data from October, 2016 so I adopt it recently. I want to ask for permission of using the content in this wikia in order to update the data. Thank you.
So Pokku has been working on a snazzy event ranking bracket template because current CQ rewards can have more than 1 reward per bracket, leading to the old ranking layout to be inefficient at displaying the rewards.
It's available for preview right now over at her sandbox if you have some time to check it out ^^
If it looks good to go (minus the ugly grey tabber border), we'll make it into a template.
Also, do you plan on recruiting any content mods? There seemed to be a lot of qualified people who applied for admin position way before me and are quite active here. Shu is also busy these days so it'd be nice to have another content mod around to rename/delete/move pages around. after all, not every admin or content mod is on here 24/7. at least i sure hope not
Just one issue with current templates: Don't know how to add the option of adding more rewards to a bracket like let's say 1~400 could have 2 or 3 rewards, how would that be done to toggle between 2 or 3 rewards to display for that bracket? Other than that it's pretty much ready to go.
Whenever I go onto the wiki most recent change is usually made by Pokku or Ashla responding to other's questions or editing photos, creating new pages so I think both of them are suitable for content moderator. They're both really active too and aren't users who just joined recently lol me... + consistent positive editing track record.
(I vote for LadyAshla and Pokku for content mods, too!)
@JuKu right now I'm trying to hard-code them in via a #switch but 1) it's not working very well, probably because I doubt #switch was meant to handle more table code than just attributes, especially considering that | is reserved for multiple things lol and 2) NOT HUMANLY SCALABLE. AT ALL. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS WHITESPACE IN WIKICODE -FLIPS TABLES-

Hi. Just want to ask why there are two lists of illustrators when I go to Category:Illustrators? Is the bullet list more updated? I assumed 'cause the list under (Illustrators/) contain names that are not in the bullet list, and I also checked those illustrator pages: Suzushiro Atsushi's page doesn't have any card in it and Kedama Gyunyu's page contains a teaser(?) image of Princess Saho and Princess Tatsuya, both cards that are under ATARU's portfolio.
Sorry if I asked this in the wrong wall. I do not know who to ask about this.
Yeah, I'm also wondering what's going on with the various pages that we have for the illustrators o.o I actually didn't know that the Illustrator subpages are used in tabview in Category:Illustrators; apparently, tabview usage doesn't count here lol
@KTxAshy I would go with the Illustrator: pages (actually Category:Illustrator: pages :P) instead of the Illustrator/ pages
@Ren can I suggest that we move the content of the Illustrator/ pages to the Category:Illustrator: pages since we're using the latter for categorization anyway
@SolarMist Yeah, I only figured out about Category:Illustrators after some digging. 'Cause when I searched "Illustrator", 6 pages appeared as search suggestions but only 4 came out on top of the 222 search results. I don't know exactly how search results are arranged. (Most related and search history?)
As for "Category:Illustrator", only two search suggestions: Category:Illustrator: Hihara You and Category:Illustrators. Search results ended up like "Illustrator" search.
Anyway, I was just curious 'cause I ended up digging a lot stuff. (e.g. if any illustrator drew the same card for both OtogiSSA & its predecessor. And yes, Kiya Machi for Dojigiri, Miyoshino/Miyoshiba for Hariti, and ATARU/SQUALL for Mjolnir. Plus, there's Hihara You for the significant characters. Sola reminds me more of Prof. Yata while Echo of Mira, but it's probably just me.)

It's usually helpful when there's a Full collection of images for everyone to look at easily, instead of flipping through dozens of category pages, from my experience at looking at other wikis. (( I based ours off of Valkyrie Crusade's artist list: http://valkyriecrusade.wikia.com/wiki/Gallery/Artists ))
When you search for illustrator, it searches for EVERY page that has illustrator in it, and literally every daemon page has the word "Illustrator" in it, so thats why it picks up random pages.
There was a reason why Kedama Gyunyu and Suzushiro were left out of the main Illustrator page. Namely being that they didn't have any cards yet. I deleted Kedama's, since they didn't seem to be getting any new cards, but i left suzushiro up just in case (( http://otogi.wikia.com/wiki/File:Mira_Miracle_Hiring.jpg )) Since i saw their art their, but iw asn't sure if those will be/are actual cards.
So I thought that it'd be useful to also add a countdown 'timer' when events are active (or when an event is about to start using info provided by Mitama pre-announcement) but no countdown script is added in MediaWiki:ImportJS for it. I've gone ahead and added it for now to test out countdown numbers and how it'll fit into a future template for the main page that shows the past/current/next event & time before/until end of an event.
If it's not a plausible idea then I can reroll the imported script ^^
I've got the rough visual of what the Main page event 'box' (template) would look like over at User:JuKu/Sandbox
Right now the countdown is running in EST for testing purposes but for the real template it'll probably be in HKT since Mitama operates in that one. The facebook image is just a placeholder for whatever event would be going on's picture.

(It seems that 350px was too big since part of the template would go "under" off to the right side. Even 300px was too big for the images involved so 290px is used for all 3 images in the template.)
Hey i'm actually trying stuff to put the storyline of events (and possibly more) it's kind of rough for the moment but i want to finish typing the story first you can check by going on my Profile.
But i got a problem i'm trying to put multiple tabs under a common tabs (Chapter 1 here) but the second one goes with the Chapter 1 instead of Story 1.1... do you know how to edit this ? :o
You can check out my blog. I've actually put in up to Story 4-9. (But I noticed I'm lacking Story 3-4 there.) I have Chap 5 with me too but it's hard to edit via mobile so I'm postponing the update until I get to a pc. I'm gonna try to put in the story parts in battles too. But not much of a priority 'cause I might not be able to redo all the battles.
Don't worry lol i'm happy that you did write everything now i'm just gonna copy paste (i think) how the chapter are done and put the text of the event instead just gonna need some (a lot of) time to understand how editors did it and this will do the trick :)
That missing 3-4 is bothering me so much, I want to get back to my desktop asap. I'm trying to finish typing the whole thing, with the Battle story parts. Maybe it'll help you in trying out a different format. I'm actually interested with that tabbed formatting. Easier access than the table of contents.
I'm appreciating the editors/ contributors so much right now. I had no idea how much work they've done to create this wikia, until I tried putting in stuff myself, so kudos. Lots of it.
What i just would like if you don't mind for the story is to remove all the space between dialogues you know to be like that

Hi Ren, forgot to ask you this earlier, but can you rename the 'Five Great Blades' category to 'Five Swords Under Heaven'? They've finally fixed up this discrepancy for Dojigiri and Onimaru.
No problem! Ah, it's not, if you look to the right at the edit section there'll be a list of categories, hover over them and there'll be a trash bin, click on that and it will be gone.
If you want to remove a whole category, just remove it from all pages it's used in and make a new category page.
Send the unused category page (if one is made) to Ren/Content mods to delete it.
